https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-E...314330?hash=item2f3832c55a:g:9oEAAOSwHbld66fY I have a couple of these and been very pleased with them
It always amazes me that if someone is clever enough to work on an engine out of a bike and need a stand... why are they not clever enough to make one.. doesn’t need to be welded could be bolted could even be wood.... Just saying
I follow a guy on YouTube, who just has a rectangle made of wood blocks to hold the engine in place, it works but looks shite As will anything I fabricate. Would like something aesthetically pleasing and built to last.
https://www.twowheelclassics.co.uk/catalogue/Ducati_Engine_Stand.html Twice the price for same thing..
One of my stands is lent out to a friend. I have one at home at the moment and another made from a scissor jack. Both stands are occupied with engines at the very back of the garage. Even though I'm constantly inspired by @Robarano and @Topolino 's layouts, and have tried to emulate their plans and execution thereof, acceding to your request, in the hope I might deserve the epithet of 'Gent', will mean a task Pickfords would envy! The weather forecast is good for today, so I will accept your challenge, however, fair warning: I am none too confident about my skills as a draughtsman about to set CNC machines into production - who knows whether anything will fit the end product...!
Long string of photos w rulers, tape measures, square edges sent to @Jamie Clare We're in the process of finalising all his requirements
Anyone know if @Jamie Clare ended opp completing the engine stand? Could use one for a spare 999R engine I've gotten.
