I have had a week of it so over reacted. I shall sort it out. Just miffs me off ; at work our customers cut us to ribbons for this kind of crap. Much less TBH
Back in the 1980's I was working in Bogota, Colombia. Been out one night with a customer, he drove an old '50s American car which regularly broke down, ran out of fuel or got a puncture. This particular night we ran out of fuel and had to walk around a mile or so to find a petrol station that was open, they didn't have any cans to put fuel in but rather supplied a plastic bag to use - I understand it was specifically for carrying fuel as it was sealable and (surprisingly) didn't dissolve on the walk back to the car but it was something new to me. Looks like they were ahead of the times!
Oil has been coming in boxes with polythene liners for at least two years now. Most oil companies send 20 and 25 ltr containers out in that manner now Its the first I have seen in a 4 litre mind
Easier to pallet pack, less pallet weight. Environmental advantage nil. recyclers only want nice clean non printed cardboard without oil contamination. Poly liners to land fill with a spoonful of oil in each. Cannot be shredded, tap is different than liner and oil contaminated. Bring back terracotta amphora, good enough when I was a kid, kept the lamps glowing in Salford.
