I thought they looked a bit splayed out as if the gap between them was slightly V shaped, but it's obviously an optical illusion.
I see what you mea, more gap at the end than the header end. Think it’s shadow and light, but haven’t had it out of the garage yet. It was a real ball ache to get the strap on so wouldn’t be surprised if they are a little out
that bit is always a pain isn't it? - chop and improve looks drastically versus all the potential "knock down in price" whinging on resale.
I always kept the leftover piece every time I've had a Monster (on my 4th now) in case I needed to weld it back on but IIRC, no prospective buyer ever mentioned the chop in negative terms.

@Chris gap is consistent, much better picture, but I think the retaining nut between cans pulls the eye a bit and makes it look a little end up
Not sure if I’ll bring this when we manage to get another euro trip done, as 80 miles between fill ups at best when on the gas may be a bit annoying!
It might annoy others. Busy planning next trip, Mrs fancies Corsica. Told her the roads there are no good for cars Depends on Covid situation but looking end of April before it gets too hot. Had a real good look on gmaps and it looks like Monster territory so might look at a separate “bike trip” on the Duke, obviously be on the GS with the Mrs Cant wait for some normality for planning trips!
A route I've done a few times in the Alps, part of the 'Route Grand Alps', has a stretch where my m8 on his 996 has had to do a detour for fuel. If you can comfortably make 80 miles and that's the point you need to start looking then I don't think it would be a problem, even in a group. If your tank's dry at 80 miles then it might be a problem. The 996 was overfuelling big time, you could smell it. He fitted a power commander and had a map done and it gave much better mpg after that. My 2020 Corsica trip has shifted to September 2021, ferries were all paid so dates have been moved. Routes all planned. Four days from Caen to Tulon via My Ventoux, Castellane and Gorge du Verdon, sail to Bastia, ride around Cap de Corse and follow coast to Ajaccio stopping for the night on route. Stay there for 4 nights with rides into the mountains and along the coast. Ferry from Ajaccio back to Tulon and then 5 days doing the Cevennes, Oradour-sur-Glane and then a visit to girlfriend's grandfathers grave in Normany before Cean and home. Going to be an epic trip so long as Covid has been kicked into the long grass by then.
@Bumpkin Sounds good. There are some superb roads north of Ventoux, inc the Col de la Machine. Just managed to miss the col this year due to a sat nav “hick-up”. Looks like you can have a play on the good part of the Route Napoleon too. Though it is a lot busier these days with more Gendarmes also. A far cry from my first foray down there hitting well over triple digits on the speedo on an R1! Happy days and probably (but not definitely...) kmh lol
