Will There Be A 2021 Tt

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Wassy, Oct 5, 2020.

  1. It makes no sense. Given that it will be at least March before the UK can really say that it is beaten and given that many of the IOM visitors (competitors and spectators) come from Europe - or further, then it could only be a very slimmed-down event. To invite and encourage visitors from all over the World to come and crowd into a small island would border on madness! Oh, hang on, that IS the whole spirit of the TT! I may be wrong...

  2. I think it will be late Spring before we have covid under control and probably not until Spring 2022 before we could say its beaten.

  3. Just been announced TT2021 has been cancelled, announcement regarding ManxGrandPrix and Classic TT will be made in March.

  4. massive shame :relieved::(

  5. IOM economy will take a hit.

    ...only joking, even on this they’d be faster than me.
    Doubt they would fancy a superbike ride but could see them on Supersport/Supertwins.

  9. Genuine question, but do bike licenses get degraded as the rider ages in the same way that car licenses do? I’ve heard numerous times about illustrious drivers having their gold race license downgraded to silver and bronze as they age...

    I suppose it would make more sense for Anstey and McGuinness to focus on the classic racing? Watching McGuinness fall off the Panigale this year was like watching somebody push a barrel down some stairs. Not the most flexible man.
