What song is that from? REM is in my mind, but not sure... Piriton has stopped working so back to the chemist. She recommended "Nytol" which I will try tonight. The chemist recommended going back to the doc and lie that I had been to the dentist who found nothing - my king of pharmacist! Getting very familiar with a full moon that does look really good but I could live without it.
If you want a relatively gentle sleep aid I can recommend Lloyds Pharmacy Sleep Aid, worked well for me, smaller (easier to swallow) and less bitter than Nytol IMHO. Same active ingredient, 50mg diphenhydramine, though. Took for three nights at a time, then rest until I needed it again (a week, then a couple of weeks), to break the back of a sleepless patch I was going through earlier this year. Worked well to give a run of solid undisturbed nights to break a bad pattern. Haven't used them for months now.
That’s what I thought. Works til about 03.30. Then you have to unVelcro your tongue from the top of your mouth. And have a massive piss. And take 2 paracetamol with a pint of water
I despair of when/if I decide to buy a new bike and I comment on here - it always cost me money!!! I must shut up but at least I know my own mind with bikes! Bought:
Well, Nytol is crap! Spent most of the night awake and didn't sleep until about 5-10 am!!! Despite all the warnings of doom on the packet, I'll try a double dose tonight. I've got a hospital appointment at 9:10 tomorrow so I can't mess around! I have none in stock at the moment, but whisky is going to be the new drug - with Nytol and Piriton!!!
Invite around a big butch homosexual gentlman and tell him when you wake up he can smash your back doors in, you will sleep the sleep of a very sleepy person.
Seriously here and I know they are addictive but... I've suffered from Arthritus for a few years now and can take up to 8 a day 500ml Codamol 30mgs Codine/470 mgs Paracetamol, I have to say they "almost" work for all of my pains, I certainly don't suffer from headaches or hangovers. These days I still suffer pain in my knees when I walk for more than 200 yards though. However they do allow me to ride my bikes for hundreds of miles in a day...RESULT! Steve R
