  1. @Mark64 What model of Gerbing gloves have you got please?

  2. Just noticed today in the DOCGB mag, Desmo, that Gerbing will give DOCGB members 15% discount on all orders placed directly with them.

What model of gloves do you use, and how do you rate them in terms of how hot do they manage to get?
I've heard on several occasions that the newer gloves are not as warm as the older models.

  5. +1. They’re very good.

  6. Hi
I have the Gerbing XR-12 long.
Can use battery or power from the bike
They get reasonably warm, not over hot. The good thing is heating is right around fingers & thumb and back of hand also.
    Certainly keep your hands warm.

Thanks for getting back to me, appreciated. As I mentioned in my initial post, I bought the Gerbing MicroWirePro Heated XRL Hybrid Gloves.
I was expecting the heat to be much more than it was, I only had the one glove to go on as one of the gloves didn't work ,so I returned them for a refund. I could barely notice the warming effect on the good glove with the temp set to max level, and that was when the ambient temp was 12'C!
Possibly I had a faulty glove or controller. The non working glove didn't inspire much confidence in the product . I'm prepared to spend the money to hopefully find a glove that can prevent my problem finger going completely white and numb. I wouldn't probably be riding in temps of less than about 10'C , but when I do ride it's normally for 4 -5 hrs at a time.

  8. I was out on Saturday with rst heated gloves on, I could not have connected the one battery properly to the charger as it gave up after 10 minutes or so, riding with one glove working was strange but it did make me realise that heated gloves don’t actually make your hands warm they just stop them getting cold if that makes sense, hand guards would work well with heated gloves to keep the wind chill off the gloves.
