I just brought a termi exhaust for my 749s, end can and decat pipe, Ideally I wanted to fit the exhaust then have it remapped and tuned professionally. However I really want more noise, if I fit the exhaust will the bike run smoothly, keeping in mind I use it for track riding, will it run lean, hot etc. what have you done?
Fit it and see how she goes. Should be ok if its just a can and link pipe. I had a silly loud pipe on mine and she ran fine. You could always just get a power commander rather than a remap. Bit cheaper too.
So this weekend I would like to fit the exhuast, I will fit just the end can for now and see what happens on Monday at Snetterton. Just curious what sort of DB it will produce, and if will be under the 102db trackday limit??
If you fit just the end can you will have a cat in only the front cylinder and not the rear . Rear is in the silencer front is in the pipe . I would either fit the lot or leave it .
It WILL run lean you will defo need it mapped. Just had mine checked and it was extra lean, so had to have it custom mapped via a power commander . Just done Bedford and it was reading 101.6 db with the clutch pulled in.
Yeah i thought the same as it would rtun lean, if it runs lean will run hotter also, and that can not be good. The same thing with my monster. So will have to be patient and get the lot done at one. Didn't realise one cat in the pipe and one in end can. abmatt2002 If only you did had a crystal ball, you could of given me the Euro numbers for Tuesday and I wouldn't have to worry about the expenses anymore.
