New Bike Day.

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by testingtesting, Dec 22, 2020.

  1. It’s nice to be back in it!

just need to decide on which track bodywork and other bits now.

  2. Fortunate to have 3 nice toys, but r's r's are special enjoy.

  3. Track bodywork is getting tricky to find these days.
There used to be two types of track fairing:
One had a one piece nose and side fairings and a big belly pan- I initially had this type but didn’t like it as one needs to take the whole thing off just to change oil/do maintenance and then there’s two great big bulky bits of fairing lying around.
The other type is more like road bodywork except with a separate oil catch belly pan - this is what I have now. Means you can remove just a side panel to get at clutch etc.
Here’s a second hand set that has been around for ages: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-7...081841?hash=item4b75dec8b1:g:zFUAAOSwsvVd9P7j

You also must get some billet chain adjusters... @Jamie Clare makes them, lovely bits of kit!

  6. Those are road fairings. I have no experience of those Chinese fairings. There’s tons on eBay though.

  7. they do 'track' versions without headlight holes. At circa £250 posted, they're good value and will do the same job(given they're painted also).
