Anyone Fitted Evotech Radiator Guard To A Monster 821?

  1. I bought the Evotech Radiator and Engine guards for my 821, fitted the engine gaurds easilly, but the radiator guard looks a bit of a pain to fit.

There are screws each side of the rad at the rear of it need to be removed, one of the screws has the top cooling pipe in the way. Only way I can see is remove this pipe, but this isn't in Evotech's instructions. Can't see how you can get to the screw without removing the pipe. Would loads coolent water come out if the pipe is removed? Its difficult to gently move pipe out of the way and undo the screw too.

Anyone have any experiance fitting this rad guard?

  2. I’ve fitted one to a 1200R, no need to remove pipe work, just fiddly

  4. It’s the screw behind the hose that’s got me, I’ve ordered long bull nose Allen key set and will give it another go.

  5. Be careful, the bolts are quite soft and chew up easily

  6. Finally managed to get this fitted. Reason I was finding hard to remove one of the screws was becuase of the left side Evotech frame protector was in the way. Removed that, and fitted it. Bit fidly, but worth the effort. Radiator too exposed for my liking.
