Were you told to put a GB sticker on your rear; so to speak? Have been wondering where/if I put one on my Pani for later this year.

 

Ok. But we’re you told to do it by Euro tunnel or your insurance company? Not sure it’s a legal requirement when riding abroad? Anyone know?

 

You can get slimline GB stickers that assuming your number plate is of a legal size will fit on, I got them for a couple of quid off eBay and never got challenged with it

GB stickers and number plates
You do not need a GB sticker if your number plate includes the GB identifier on its own or with the Union flag.

You do not need to display a GB sticker to drive in Ireland.

You must display a GB sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle if your number plate has any of the following:

• a Euro symbol
• a national flag of England, Scotland or Wales
• numbers and letters only – no flag or identifier

If you’re in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a GBsticker no matter what is on your number plate.

I feel a Blue Peter-esque sticky back plastic lash up is on the cards. As soon as we can invade, I mean holiday, abroad.

 

Now the UK has left the EU with a deal, these rules have changed. You now do need a GB sticker if your car has a Euro-plate, as well as if the number plate has no national identifier on it or displays a national flag of England, Scotland or Wales.

I’ll have if it’ll fit my 2015 Panigale R Gen 2?

 

It won’t if post #16 is right.

 

I get quite a lot of confusion over whether my Gen 2 R is an 1199 or a 1299. Obviously it has the 1198cc engine so not a 1299, but lots of stuff from the 1199 range fits, and lots from the 1299 doesn’t. I don’t call it an 1199R for obvious reasons, but the 1299R is a different beastie…
Any ideas

 

Lots of common parts across the Pani range from 899 up.
The Gen 2 Pani R is the race homologation version of the 1299 bike.
