Roadtec 01

  1. What version is the one best suited to the DVT? IS it the 01SE or the 01? I have confusion and cant find out by looking about on web

  2. The 01 SE is the latest development of the Roadtech 01 tyre. Had things been different, I would have done a direct comparison between the 2. I’m a Metzeler fan boy so clearly biased :joy: Andy

  3. I plan to fit these next, lad at our work place swears by them on his DVT. I've currently got the Michelin RP5's and they were very good at first (though i never found them inspiring in the wet) they are now becoming miss-shaped (NOT squared!) and starting to tramline on bad surfaces. Two thirds worn.

  4. Loved them (Roadtec 01) on my DVT - everything felt sharper, tighter, faster.

  5. I’ve got the 01SE on mine. Best road tyres I’ve had.

  6. This is why the Ducati forum is the best on the web Roadtec 01SE it is

  7. There may be a manufacturer's 'cashback' promotion on right now - my local mobile tyre fitter bloke is advertising a £30 refund on these...

  8. That’s a good point. I got a £30 cash back credit card when I bought mine.

  9. :upyeah:Look at Demon Tweeks, they were offering excellent prices delivered when I recently bought a set of SE's. Not fitted them yet, as I have been waiting to get them fitted just prior to a planned trip to Spain & Portugal in June this year. That now looks highly unlikely to go ahead with what's going on in our world, but fingers crossed it will. I'm a Road5 'fanboy', using one of the favoured phrases/names attached to these things on this 'ere website and rate them highly in both wet and dry.
Being a bit of a journo-tart, I actually listened to an MCN/Ride report on the 01SE and decided I would give them a shot. Jury still out for me though........
That said, tyre choice is a highly personal thing, especially on a 17" front wheel; See what I just did?

  10. Had a look on Metzeler site, no cashback promo there, not that i can see
