What The New Mutley Should Have Been?

  1. It’s the latest one off the KTM website. I’ll go look again. Andy

  2. Not on their web site. I did find a list of options for the 21MY 1290 S includes a set of spoked wheels, no detail but definitely looks like bigger front. Andy

  3. Well, now they've slashed £4K off the 2020 Super Duke GT, I'm tempted by one of those anyway. I'll ask KTM about the SA wheels (if I can ever get to the showroom).

  4. New GT would be worth a look. Just needs a comfy seat and probably bar risers (they were about fifty quid for a 20mm rise and slight backwards offset.). KTM comfort seat is not, erm, comfortable. At least not on the 2017.

  5. I tried one, it’s nowhere near the comfort of a mutley. And by fuckery it’s an ugly thing. I quite like the insect/evil cricket look of the 2021 adventure.

  6. It will be straight from release....well according to MCN. Although that 15k list price seems a bit low compared to the old model list prices.
What is astonishing is the £14,999 price. Order a Ducati V4 Multistrada S and by the time you’ve got radar onboard, you’re looking at a £20,345 bill. We don’t need to tell you all things you could do with £5000.

  7. That £14995 is for the base model. Hard to find any pricing or complete spec but sexy stuff like the hill start, pro suspension and fancy rear lights are all at extra cost. Andy

  8. There’s a configurator on the website, just click on each option and it adds it all up. Loads to choose from but you do have to pay extra for heated grips and quickshifter. I priced up the options that I would want, grips and full luggage comes out at 16.5k

  9. Configurator doesn’t seem to work on my steam driven iPad. Andy

  10. Same here, had to use desktop mac.

  11. Knowing KTM probably 15k with all extras incuded in December/January.
    I managed to knock £1000 off the list price (£9149) last February for a 2020 300exc 6days.:)

  12. They always knock big money off in the winter months. The prices of their dirtbikes have gone daft over the last few years. 10K for something you are going to cartwheel down a hill is eye watering.
