have no problem with him. He is a bit of a prat but brings very clever people into his show. He has never apologies for promoting nortons though.
I don’t hate him but I would rather watch waynetta slob pole dancing than watch him! And he’d definitely go in the stingers if I met him!
He's an enthusiastic motorcyclist with a SOH and doesn't take himself too seriously! That's fine with me.
I agree. He gives only the most superficial detail like he's making a bike show for people who don't ride bikes.
I think that’s what he has to do to sell it to the media and to the people who aren’t into bikes. I do find his presenting style irritating though but at least he’s getting bikes on the telly.
Maybe that’s what Sells to the tv co’s. afterall, top gear isn’t a proper car show. If it was it would write off most of the viewers.
It’s great that there is at least one motorcycle program on tv. Henry can grate now and then, but for those who cannot stand him. There is an off button and a channel change button. The alternative could be non stop strictly, the voice or X factor, God forbid.
The original Top Gear, shown from 1977 - 2001 used to be a proper car show. I know you weren’t born when it first aired but it used to be an informative programme and originally presented by Angela Rippon. My favourite presenter was William Woollard. Andy
I loved watching this a few weeks back, I only wish I could afford such an iconic motorcycle. When my late father was a teenager his neighbour owned a Vincent, although my father didn’t show a lot of interest in Vincents.
Is there an episode where he does a critique of bubonic plague and likes it? I think I’d avoid watching that too!
Almost feeling guilty about posting now, but as Andy said above, it's possibly an "age" thing but I liked the more anorak approach to reviewing cars or motorbikes, not saying I don't like Henry it's more the current "celebrity" type presentation which he and others concentrate on, whereas it should be all about the bike or the car. It was only on watching the Vincent video that what I miss these days suddenly came to me, hence the post/thread. I'm probably in the minority.
