New Streetfighter S

  1. Hi All,

Im new here from up north and just bought into the club and am very impressed having traded up from the Honda SP1 bike. Im enjoying the different ride just as much as the power and comfort and the fact its a Ducati (always had the idea that they were like the Porsche and Ferrari of bikes!!)

One disappointment is that I find the bike (purchased from Ducati dealer) requires a yearly interim service. This will cost me a few quid but what disappoints me is that a dealer can scrimp on servicing before the "as new" bike leaves the forecourt. Now Im no expert but surely any vehicle reaching the 1year mark but not the 7500miles point should be given a bit of TLC?

How would you guys deal with this and what would you do if no joy from dealer as they already have the sale and yes Im happy with bike just a tad disappointed in general tightness of people:wink:

    Thanks in advance

  2. My local Ducati delaer in Newcastle (M&S Motorcycles) has reduced price servicing during the winter months when the workshop is quieter. I usually take advantage of this.

  3. All (well two;) ) my previous bikes bought from the dealer had an MOT and service before i picked them up. One also had next service discounted to 50% the other came with 12 month warranty. In this economic climate a lot of dealers will do whatever they can to get your business so just ask before committing to buy. If the dealer is too tight - take your business elsewhere.
Probably not very helpful in this case but worth keeping in mind in the future :)
