  2. great tactical game from Scotland, just didn't quite get the rub of the green. Thought the Wales tight head was boring in at pretty much every scrum, yet the Scottish front row were getting penalised for it.

amazing try from George North, regardless of who you support it is definitely worth watch on catch up or highlights somewhere.

missed the England game as I was coaching (and thought I had recorded it!), so just saw the 5 min BBC highlights - seems to have been relatively predictable, i.e. Italy strong until they have to empty the bench, then England capitalise on better fitness and depth of squad. now it will be interesting to see if this new England is moving forward against the stronger 6N sides, or just another false dawn.

  3. New tournament supposed to start in two weeks looks a go. Can’t wait!!!

  5. Gave you a medal as it is probably the only one you’ll get!

  6. So predictions anyone ? Bookies are all ears... :D

  7. I think Andy B summed it up a treat on the other forum.

So I expect the English will be good ... because they have loads of players
the Irish will be shot cos they are in transition
the French will be good because they have a new team of youngsters
italy will be a waste of time
the Scots will be all bitter and twisted and count gives a shit about anything apart from beating the English... but they will be the usual try really hard but shit
the welsh will roll out the same few players that should of finished several years ago, they will be shoit blame the English for being good cos they have lots of players try really hard and won't give a shit about anything else except beating the English.

  8. Sound like a history lesson! :)

  9. Looks like 1st weekend is a go with opening game tomorrow at 1415 GMT, gentlemen.

It’ll be a really nice distraction from winter weather combined with lockdowns, curfews and what not.

  10. I was reading an newspaper article with sir Clive and Shaun Edwards the other day so i'm all pumped up & excited for the tournament to begin. We just need fast flowing rugby from all the teams & not the boring slow stuff.

  11. At this stage in the world cup cycle I'd expect the coaches to try a few new combinations, Eddie Jones looks to be making a few changes and bringing in new faces.
I think if Wales had been more successful in last years's series then we might have seen a few new faces in Red shirts this time around but Wayne Pivac would be pilloried if he dropped Alun Wyn Jones and George North now and lost, even though at their age they should be at home isolating.

  12. We shall see :)

  13. Very good first game France!

Time for a beer now and then on to seeing what England and Scotland have in store.

What a nice Saturday afternoon.:)

  17. You don’t like Rugby?

Even though they were dominated, the Italians showed some great plays. And so did France. That was a nice game, in fact. No cheap actions, no fights, no trying to mess with the referee, just plain game. And no wounded.

We have seen way worse, when it comes to players and teams behaviors...

  18. I've been watching rugby for over thirty years and just love it, so i knew what the result would be with the Italians before the match ended.:upyeah:

  19. Well, with all due respect, not my definition of liking a sport, then. Score is not the only thing, what they actually do is also what we’re after.

But I understand. Two non anglo-saxon teams playing each other is not likely to fascinate the anglo-saxon crowds. Or so I read in the UK press.

    You missed a good game.
