Yahoo Weather is the most accurate one on my mobile, but that is saying zilch. Apparently when I go for my walk in a minute, I need to watch out for ice....
The Windows one seems good but I don't get it on an Android 'phone. I think that I'll just stop consulting the built-in one on my mobile and go elsewhere.
This combined with Netweather Radar. The latter shows incoming live weather which is useful on rainy days to check ahead of taking the dogs out to avoid getting soaked.
That isn’t always accurate. At 4am this morning it was foggy as fuck. Now the fog has cleared but it’s raining. And allegedly we’ve got snow from 3pm till Monday. Oh joy!
i think yer right. the clouds have ceared in the last 5mins. wall to wall blue. talking of Snow. best season in a decade the lady from the Cairngorms tells us on the radio. nice, rub it in why dont you.
I remember reading quite a few articles last year regarding how the reduction in planes flying has impacted the accuracy of weather forecasts, I presume that must still be playing a factor. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200717101026.htm https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02198-4 https://physicsworld.com/a/covid-19-pandemic-has-made-weather-forecasts-less-reliable/ https://www.theguardian.com/news/20...s-clips-weather-forecasters-wings-coronavirus
I get pissed off with the local rags online, cut and paste the weather, then treat us like snowflakes. Be careful there will be 1 cm of snow, drive with care and look out for icy pavements. All this from 3rd rate hacks straight out of school, who have never seen a proper fall of snow. Not forgetting the click bait headline, “heavy snow and blizzard conditions to cause traffic chaos”
Blame the BBC. If they were providing actual reporting of events instead of editorialised government sponsored trash, people would know that sensationalism was a waste of their time, and they would also see the weather forecast whilst reading reports about what has happened locally, nationally and around the world. Just like they did for decades.
