  1. Very nice. Few quids worth

  2. Still got the tip in at that distance

  3. @Hughdg just got a DB7 (I think it’s that one).
I have only driven a vantage once. They look great but better drivers cars are available for the money.
However. There is no question they are a very, very classy motor.
    Good choice Adam.
PS the steel grey/titanium with red leather is the one to go for.

  4. I actually highly rate the chassis for a GT mate. It’s no light weight track car. But I’ve spent my whole life in race cars and fast cars. It wouldn’t be for that :)

End of the day it’s 385-430 ish bhp in something that weighs 1.6 tonnes, so it’s never going to set the world on fire is it haha

  5. That’s fair. Great GT, 100% style. Nice way to arrive anywhere.

  6. Not too shabby with some geo work and some half decent brakes either for what it is

  7. i wouldnt bother with an aston, over rated and mega expensive, get an xkr jag, 3rd of the price and just as fast, and quicker.

  8. But... it’s not an Aston.

And they only come in an auto. A god awful auto at that.

but yes, it is a better car.

  9. have you driven one mate?? ive had my old mans for about 5 years now and not sure what you mean by an awfull gearbox??

far better than my mates aston manual box, f~ck me was like driving a lorry.

  10. certainly have mate. It’s a great car. Very underrated. But the auto gearbox on all the ones I’ve driven bar the new ones is crap. Very slow.

but then I’ve never liked auto boxes really. Even semi’s I’m not a fan.

    I don’t mind a proper sequential though

  11. Good Luck in the search for your Vantage. Pistonheads is a good as place as any for information and Bamford Rose (Look on You Tube) will give you excellent advice.
There are better, faster and cheaper cars to run out there but none make me smile as much as my DB9 and its orchestra of V12 noise!!

  12. I have a mate that is an Aston techie. Used to work for them at the Nurburg facility but has recently gone solo with his own workshop. I can ask him for things to look out for.
He runs one as a tracktoy/road car. Many people now choosing them over an m3 as the prices are good.
