Rugby Bores - Six Nations Thread - Avoid If Not Keen On Egg-chasing

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by efcbluepete, Feb 1, 2016.

  1. I hope not. Just wanted to make sure the score I am reading is real and I have not been smoking crack

  2. Great game thee. Pity Scotland didn’t win.

Wales can only win against teams of 14 it would appear...

  3. Yeah i with you on that one as they'd have the right get up and go attitude from the blocks until that red mist moment.: unamused:,

  4. Anything to liven the boredom up with a crack pipe is ok by me.:upyeah:

  5. There are winners and losers. Nuff said :joy::joy:

  6. Awful refereeing, none as blind as them that won’t see. First 2 England tries came from knock ons/forward pass and Owen Farrell should have received a red card for a late tackle off the ball. Still of the opinion Eddie Jones is yesterday’s man and England have no answer to tactics they don’t expect because of him. Discipline was shocking. Andy

  8. I don’t know what match you watched, in the one I saw, Wales had two possibly three periods of play where they were clearly better than Scotland and just scraped through against 14 players. Set plays were poor, again and discipline was poor, again. If it wasn’t for the outstanding defence, mostly on the try line, they would have been buried. Still, they have two weeks to recover and then a fairly easy game at home. On current showing, England have nothing to trouble them. Andy

  9. the best thing I can say about that match is that he had one small chance in the game and he took it brilliantly. The smoke screen of “mitigating circumstances” allowed him to get the job done

  10. Be careful what you wish for. :D

  11. Big game for Ireland and France this afternoon. Both teams having much at stake, I recon it will be pretty intense.

    Can’t wait!!!

  13. Difficult to see past France this year. Today will tell.

  14. Only a one single point advantage at the end with an extra man,so nothing to shout about in my book.:worried:

  15. It's time for more young blood in the mix ready for the next world cup, before we get left behind again.Imo

  16. Win. Bonus point. Happy days. Worst team won (again). :)
    And it was exciting.

  17. Probably the best match so far in the tournament,:upyeah:..i'm hoping the one this afternoon will match it in a close tight match, but without JS in the green shirt perhaps not.

  18. It’s clear the professional UK club competition produces talented individuals, Louis Rees Zammit springs to mind and many of the players across the 6 Nations competition play for UK based teams. IMO, what is lacking is leadership and an integrated tactician. I saw from one of the captions, England have a dedicated Backs coach which seems to be very American Football. Andy

  19. We just need to follow the template from the New Zealand squad, with like minded individuals that want the silverware each and everytime they put that wonderful England kit on,easy peasy then.

  20. It appears to me that England start the game with a plan. If the opposition don't play to it we're screwed. :joy:
