Law Schools Scare Me

  1. And just as oddly, the BBC'S Nick (he didnt answer) Robinson, is to give lessons to BBC Staff on how to be impartial

  2. Notwithstanding the current pandemic, get off the internet and social media and go out and meet people. No brainer and you don’t need to pay to go to a University Law school. Just beggars belief. Andy

  3. What, a committed Conservative who studied philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford and has been a political editor for years, known anything about impartiality ? Not a chance. As above, beggars belief. Andy

  4. Sadly Andy, even pre COVID, there is an entire generation including my kids who simply don’t live their life this way. Both my kids are well brought up, in a secure family life, they’ve always had what we could afford to give them & they both have Masters degrees, but they could not live their life away from social media & even now, if my daughter (a law student) has to talk on the phone to a real person, it’s a last resort option.

  5. No reflection on you as a loving father but I find that sad. I am of a generation that played on bomb sites and building sites and really only came to depend on a computer in the last few years of my career. I have fun on here but I'm usually to be found on my bike and now I'm an IAM Roadsmart Observer, what social skills I remember are in big demand :joy: Andy

  6. none of that should be a barrier to impartiality. the "he didnt answer" i was refering to wasnt a judgment call, it was a balls out lie. a v,big one caught by the international media.

  7. The irony is that they’re both very good in a social environment & make friends easily, they just choose to live too much of their life on social media & the tactile stuff that we used to do is largely missing. Was starting to see a bit of a change in the older one before COVID hit so maybe there’s hope?
