1198s Standard Ecu

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by Ambrose, Feb 24, 2021.

  1. Hi All,

I am after a standard ECU for my 2010 1198s. When I got the bike the seller didn't have the standard ECU any longer but did include the standard exhausts, I'm trying to get hold of one just in case I need to run the standard exhausts and before they become really hard to get hold of.

I have had a look on fleabay and can see 1198 ECU's advertised but I don't know if the 1198 & 1198s standard ECU's are the same so bit of a double question really.

Does anyone have a standard 1198s ECU for sale and are the 1198/1198s ECU's the same?

  2. Both bikes use the IAW5AMHW610 ECU. The 1198S has DTC. The 1198 does not. The mapping differs. Things get more complicated as when the Panigale was launched Ducati upgraded 1198 bikes with DTC and DQS in order to shift them.

  4. Thanks all

  5. hi mate yes i have an ecu for an 1198 if your interested??

    @Ambrose

  6. Thanks @cookster

Just to confirm it's an 1198s standard ecu 2010 and what price are you looking for?

  7. what part numbers are you looking for its got 1198qs ducati062 (eu) written on it

  8. To be honest I have no clue on the part numbers will have a dig around later see if I can find out.

Just needs to be for the standard exhausts on a 1198s with DTC 2010 hopefully Dr Google will help out later

  9. I think that ECU is for the 1198SP and will have both DTC and DQS in the mapping. Does it have 3220MA14 on another label?

  10. I'm not sure now il look at work tomorrow

  11. From what I could find online I think the QS is going to mean quick shift so is possibly from a different model.

I just removed the ecu currently fitted and it says; 1198SDUCATI062 (EU) on one side and 3215PQ58(EU) on the other.

The bike does show 1198S RACING on the dash when the ignition is switched on and from other threads I’ve seen this is correct for the slip on exhausts.

  12. the ecu i have here has got 22a7-ln36 on it

  13. If you are not the first owner, it looks like your stock 3215PQ58 ECU map 28641831A has been reflashed to the DP map. Only way to tell is to hook it up to JPDiag. @cookster ’s ECU can be reflashed to that map, as can any IAW5AMHW610 ECU.

  14. Thanks @chrisw

Does sound like the stock ecu fitted has been reflashed. To get what I am after (Standard & DP ECU) is it feasable to return my ecu to standard and reflash the ecu that Cookster has to run the Akraprovic end cans with DTC? I don't have the cables/software to do this so will have to factor that in or maybe take a visit to motorapido or similar to get the ecu's flashed and the tps set

@cookster do you have an idea of what you would like for that ecu?

  15. £55 sound reasonable??

  16. Sounds good to me will PM in a bit

  17. Thanks to cookster ecu on its way.

I also purchased an ecu cable so I can use jpdiag from Lonelec (Which works absolutly fine with jpdiag in case anyone needs one of these) and the ecu currently fitted shows as virgin so does seem like I have the Ducati Performance ecu fitted so will just get the other ecu re mapped as stock.

Thanks to @cookster for the ecu and @chrisw for advice :upyeah:

  18. yes i posted it today so hopefully with you next week mate
