  1. Awww 91 great age but sad news
    Love these old pictures

  2. Yes please do check one of my friends dad fell off his ladder painting he is still with us but sustained life limiting injuries and has no recollection of anyone and is cared for away from home

  3. That’s a sad thing to happen, I always stake the bottom of the ladder when on grass with a two foot hooked crowbar and were possible put my van up against the bottom of the ladder on driveways.

  4. It is, I always secure ladders and ensure my steps are level whenever I use them I’d hate to think of the consequences should I fall even from a modest height.

  5. I think the safety rules are
4 Meters up = 1mtr out from the wall.

  6. Done some ironing and made lunch. May go for a walk later.

  7. Not sure on the absolute ratio, I just ensure it doesn’t look too shallow. As an aside many moons ago I had to erect some signage on a Petrol station canopy. The cashier told me the painter the previous week had his ladders swept from under him by a car coming in for fuel. He managed to grasp hold of the canopy luckily for him.

  8. Spotted two large piles of household / building rubbish dumped by the pikeys today in the country lane, what's wrong with folk these days.:mad:...also had a few words with a cyclist when passing me , he was climbing a local steep hill 72 times, this amounts to summiting Everest when completed later today.

  10. A bit of a generalisation, there is not cap on the level of social position for this criminal activity. People see fly tipping as victimless and have no scruples. Andy

  11. It would help if the local council didn’t treat you like a criminal when you visit the local recycling centre, the bastards.

  12. That doesn’t sound good. When visiting your local tip went all cost conscious down this neck of the woods, what 3 years ago, because my nearest centre was in West Berks and I paid rates to Basingstoke and Deane, ended up having to drive further to a centre that recycled a smaller choice. However, since the pandemic, they have implemented an internet appointment system and the whole experience is a lot more relaxed, almost civilised. Andy

  13. He was a very lucky boy

  14. Yes agreed, unfortunately the virus has spread it wings across the human board with all sorts of shite over recent years. On the record i'd love to tip rubbish in their back gardens and see how they respond.

  15. Pikeys don’t technically have back gardens of their own, which is why they use yours and others.

  16. Ok then, how about their front sitting rooms just for laugh and it would an negative aggressive reaction towards us for sure.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  17. As seen on a couple of cycle rides around the countryside near me . Scum .

  18. I would have had that bike away.
On a serious note our single track road is just the right distance away from McDonald's to allow the chavvy b*stards to finish their plastic food and drop the crap on the verge.

  19. This costs the taxpayer millions of pounds a year on the clear up for these inconsiderate bastards, with other frontline services struggling to keep the doors open for more important outlets for community.
