  1. Dear All

I have recently been doing some work on my 2002 748 bisposto, i have been working all over the bike but most recently on the front end. I fitted a new front tyre this morning and when i was tapping in the wheel shaft the piece shown in the image dropped onto the floor from somewhere. I have had the wheel off numerous times before and never noticed this part. I cannot see where it would fit into the front wheel so maybe its come from somewhere else. Does anyone recognise this part and if so can you please advise where it goes. Many thanks in advance ducati unknown part.jpg

  2. Welcome. Why don’t you introduce yourself in the newbies section too please ;)

  3. Need some idea of scale please. Andy

  4. Many times, its about 1 inch long and the width at the thickest end is exactly the same as the threaded end of the wheel shaft. The thin end would slot snuggly inside the wheel shaft?

  5. Wheel spacer?

  6. It looks like it could be an adaptor spacer that fits up inside the steering stem.
For a front stand that fits under the steering stem with a pin.

Could have been left up there by a previous owner.

  7. Could this be from one of the two bolts that are underneath the lights, and hold the nose cone on? Seem to think they fit into the bodywork, and have sort of rubber inserts that open out as you screw the bolts in, thus holding the cone firm, might be wrong of course, difficult to tell the size from the pic, however it looks like a top hat bush to me.
