Rossi’s natural talent, core character and understanding of physics meant that his resting heart rate to go fast was super relaxed in comparison to the hobbit. Max would have to focus twice as hard and have a 20-30% higher heart rate to get close to Rossi, let a lone beat him. Plus Max had childhood issues which meant he was always super hard on himself, meaning he didn’t enjoy the moment. It was winning or almost depression of being first loser.
