So what have you done today..?

  1. Absolutely - that def works quicker and much better than some expensive patio cleaners, also stops the jet wash ripping out the pointing between your patio slabs and keeps weeds at bay for a good while.

Had some proper bad algae on the patio here that bleach couldn't shift. google advised sodium hypochlorite - bought as swimming pool chemical - wow that stuff works. Eye protection and gloves a must and keep it off your plants and rinse off thoroughly.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. I read that most of this happens because people arrange for their crap to be collected by a man & van service, who then turns out to be a cnut.

  3. Just saw your post, and sorry to read your sad news.

  4. Thank you Paul, I am not wasted on here!! :):upyeah::upyeah:

  7. Sod it, thrown caution to the wind ....... we are going to Montmelo for the GP in June. GP Ticket shop confirmed the circuit is issuing (a limited number of) tickets and the hotel in Barcelona has confirmed the availability of a room. Checked the Madrid central government and Catalan local government web sites and Spain will be open to non essential travellers before then subject to forms and health checks. There are flights when we want to fly so definitely a light at the end of the tunnel and not some bastid coming the other way with a torch. Andy

  8. Well I’ve been busy doing “stuff”. Inconsequential stuff but stuff nonetheless.

First thing this morning I went to the local builders merchants for another 2 x 25kg bags of slate chippings to finish off the border around the bay window. Now it’s up to SWMBO to tidy it all up over the weekend. :upyeah:

I then went out on the Scrambler for a couple of hours. First couple of miles it seemed as though all God’s children were trying to kill me, with parked cars pulling out without looking and/or indicating and people who’d just parked up opening the drivers door without looking at what may be coming alongside them etc. But once I got out into the countryside where I could open it up a bit it was lovely as it was sunny and the roads were dry. Did 46 miles and came home for some lunch :)

After lunch we booked a week’s holiday in a cottage in Rutland in July with my brother in law and his wife and during that week we’ll be going to the “Battles of the Proms” in Burghley, which should be good providing the weather plays ball. :)

Tomorrow I think we are meant to be doing stuff in the garden.

  9. ^^^^^ exactly this, out for the first ride this year and felt like all the car drivers are asleep. Guess they arent bike aware this early in the year

  10. On my last run out I had some c@nt in a small red car changed lanes without looking or indicating, causing me to brake hard to avoid him.
We were approaching a red light and as he stopped I pushed the front wheel of my bike in to his rear bumper giving him a shove!

Of course the air was blue, the dozy fucker.

  14. There’s some nice roads near Rutland Water. Send the Mrs in a car and go on a bike. Best plan.

  15. Had 9.4 cubic metres of concrete pumped around the back of my house. Now we’re totally out of the ground hopefully things should speed up.

Got all the trellis replaced the full length of the garden in one day. Real result.

Time off for good behaviour, I can see an essential journey coming up on Sunday. ;)

  16. Even though it’s only 9.15am and we’ve got the whole day ahead of us we’ve already decided we’re having fish and chips tonight and have ordered and paid for them online from the local chippy.

That’s how exciting my life is today :)

  19. Many moons ago i'd a friend that hated champagne, he always strirred the stuff until the bubbles were removed, what a strange bloke...just drink wine instead.
