Is The High Street A Thing Of The Past Because Of Covid-19?

The stuff I have bought hasn’t had that option. A few things I wanted to return but gave up and binned in the end. So different to your experience

 

Maybe the stuff you bought wasn't Prime? I always select Prime only in the search to make sure it comes immediately & there's no hassle returning it.

The centre of Cheltenham is like a ghost town, top end of the high street and the promenade are almost deserted. But again council started charging for on road parking people just won't pay it. Plus we have 2 retail parks with free parking just outside of town.

 

That's really odd!

 

Heard Chris Evans on radio this morning along the lines of .... “me and tash did 11 miles marathon prep walking on Sat and our friends did 22” - think they mentioned Thames tow path. Not exactly environment where there will be no individuals.

Perhaps mistakenly, I thought the rules were something like an hours exercise per day?

 

The high street will be reduced to a meeting place. Coffee shops, bars and the odd speciality shop. Cheese, sex toys

 

Then it has half a chance -provided some buildings are converted to (or replaced by) housing, and the parking is easy, plentiful & free.

 

In our high st a place opened called s&m. Was thinking they were following your guidance, but was a Thai takeaway. Sir & Madam takeaway.
Mind you that’s what they openly sell front of house. Back of house may be offering more of a happy ending, you never know.........

 

I had no idea the "Happy Ending" was also the "S&M" one!
