Till-less Shopping Takes Another Step Forward

  1. I'd love it tbh. In and out with no messing. I'm not worried about big brother myself, though I do fear for my kids. It's like driving any ICE that way, if we're truthful. Selfish behaviour.
     
  2. Supermarkets and the like have been monitoring what you buy for years with their loyalty cards and I can’t remember the last time I actually went to a checkout with an employee at it (other than Lidl and Aldi)

    So I don’t really know what the big deal is about it, the only downside is like with many of these things, you pay extra for the convenience?
     
  3. Apparently you have to be let in by some Amazon account authorising process, can’t be many shops where it’s easier to get out than in.

  5. Tesco club card, other supermarkets are available, have only one purpose and that is collecting data. Works to most people's advantage as they usually have what most of us want in the right quantity.
    So unless you shop in person and pay cash it's not much different to Amazon running a cashless shop that uses phone apps to charge you.
