  4. Is that a genuine 999 cover??
The one I got with my 999r, is much more fitted, has white writing and 999r down the side. Mine had a silky finish and fleece lined. Put it through the wash a few times, always been fine.

  5. I think it's the same material as the early 916's covers, and based on that way too fragile in my opinion which could result in disintegration.Maybe just a light soap & warm water wash would be wise.

  7. If you do put it in the machine ,use the delicates setting .

  8. Sounds like my stretchy, shiny Monster cover. Loves the washing machine!

  9. You're right - it's not a fancy 999r...just an s !! Not a cloth cover, more a fibre type material. Never bothered too much with it, but now Doris is in the house, a grubby cover is obvious.

  12. I put my old crusty fibre type 748r cover in the machine on a not nuclear setting and it was fine
