  2. 1199S, all the power you'll need, look great, loads of used bits of bling available and come standard with some of the lightest wheels fitted to a Pani.

I'd be suspicious of the cheapest R's, they will be cheap for a reason.

  3. 2nd 1299S or go for a 959 corse

  4. I just had same dilemma
Gone for a base 1299 with extras and low miles and it’s got Ohlins carts .

  5. Go for a clean, well serviced, and not chavved-up 1199s. More power than you could ever need... Stick a 41 tooth rear sprocket on it and it pulls like a train.

IMO the 1199s is the best-looking Pani by far - Best looking front end. Stick nice matt carbon rear hugger on to match the front and you've a stunner.

  7. Having owned all 3, i would say,
899, bumfluff in a wish i had not started shaving kind of way. Best allrounder.
1199, 5 days stubble, ruff and rugged. Most vicious.
1299, clean shaven and slick. Sublimely quick.
All good on fast a and b roads, all crap at town and gnarly roads, all excel on track with the 899 being the easiest to exploit.

  8. Considering your options @wanzap1 i'd seriously consider the Pani V2. £14500 will get you a new bike that has everything you need.

  9. Actually that is a really really good shout. Brand new, proven, warranty etc etc ....

  10. Second getting the V2. Would be my go-to bike if I was to buy a new bike also.

  11. Especially on a PCP deal....

Literally a few takeaways a month and you have a new bike in the garage.

  12. I'd buy the best 1198 I could find.

  13. That would be great if the OP didn't want a more modern proposition, based on your thinking I'd skip the 1098 completely and head to a 749R but none of these suggestions are remotely close to what the OP wants .....

  14. For that budget you could get a 1299 base which would be my recommendation. A lot more refined than the 1199.

  15. The 11 nor the 12 has that monster torque. I have a 12 and I find it a little underwhelming by comparison with my old 1198. The 1198 is a very capable bike.

  16. Good to see you posting again Scott Redding !!!

  17. if you want a package with minimum imput ( cash) then go with the 1199s, otherwise the 1199 base and then you have the option of some individual parts, suspension etc.
I have the 1199s and 1299s and on the track I'm faster on the 1199 as the low down torque of the 1299 is a fight out of every corner.. but still jolly good fun ;)
