  1. The pair of you are legends, I had the fairing off, battery brace etc off yesterday with no issues, terminals are undone. So just tip it forward and it'll come out. Brilliant, cheers!

  2. Out of curiosity , can you bump start a 1299?

  3. My battery died about 100 miles away from home and while on the middle of a windswept, disused airfield in winter. A mate and I tried to bump my 1199 but just got rear wheel lock-up and absolutely no signs of starting. We only tried a few times then just waited for a recovery van with a jumper pack.

  4. Nope, rear wheel will lock up quick.

Is why I replaced my battery today.

  5. How do you test a battery ? I have a multimeter.

  6. Attach your multimeter leads to the battery terminals (measuring Volts), turn the ignition on and press the starter button briefly. You will see a voltage drop across the battery. Ideally the reading should still be 12. something volts although the minimum is I believe 11.9V. Andy
