Track Bike Dilemma

Discussion in 'Builds & Projects' started by carson, Mar 27, 2021.

  1. The 4C8 is a proper analogue bike! I still think that's the most raw R1 that they made.

  2. I agree mate, mines on eBay at the mo but the more dickheads I get asking stupid questions and making stupid offers I'm very tempted on keeping it. :D

  3. I hate selling shit, it’s a constant ballache but it’s the same when buying because I’m always away. I need to ask loads of questions because most of the ads are poorly written to start with. You can tell the seller is starting to get the arse with all the questions and I end up pulling the plug cause I can’t be bothered with the aggro

  4. I keep toying with the idea of selling this.. It'll be well within your budget

  9. I have mate but it’s in Spain and that’s where it lives. I wanted another track bike for doing UK days so I don’t have to keep shipping it back and forth.

  13. Here’s the spec of the R1 that I’ve put a deposit on:

HPI clear with circa 4,200 miles on the clock, V5 present and in my name. 2 previous owners, the first being Tamworth Yamaha.

    Spec is as follows;

    - Ohlins NIX front fork cartridge kit
    - Ohlins TTX rear shock
    - OZ Piega wheels with Brembo discs
    - YEC kit loom
    - Seton engine map with latest generation engine braking options and Pit lane limiter
    - Quick shifter and Auto blipper enabled via Cordona actuator
    - Seton exhaust system with secondary chamber (passes Brands with no baffle)
    - MWR air filter
    - Brembo RCS Corsa Corta master cylinder and reservoir kit
    - ABS decommissioned (pump removed)
    - Venhill braided front brake lines
    - Swing arm extension with Seton chain adjusters
    - Reactive Parts V2 carbon fibre tank extender
    - Light weight lithium battery
    - GB Racing engine covers
    - GB Racing bullet frame sliders
    - Pro Fibre fairings
    - Sprint steering damper
    - Rain light (hard wired)
    - Seton clip on’s
    - Seton rear sets
    - Seton quick action throttle
    - Seton sprocket guard
    - Seton paddock stand lifters
    - Seton keyless fuel cap
    - Seton lock stops

Front and rear suspension stripped and serviced beginning of 2019 by HM Racing, was then ridden a total of 7 times that year, and once in 2020!

Valve clearances checked at the start of this year, new 520 chain and sprockets fitted and air filter cleaned/oiled at the same time (HM Racing) Bike has done 5 sessions at Brand Indy since!

Maintained as you’d expect, only ever use Yamalube engine oil and OEM filters.

Oulton on the 11th May for the first outing and then back again on the 26th.
