Afternoon I fitted a rapid bike evo to my Monster 1200R. 2 mins into the test ride after fitting and the engine light came on. Both the little engine shaped light and the big orange "Engine" word on the dash. Now i pretty much expected something like this and have to say the bike was sharper and pulled very well in all gears. Has anyone else had this after fitting one and can give me any pointers?
I had similar after fitting my RB Evo. I was told to take it out for a quick ride then cycle the ignition a few times. It worked for me (959). Other then that, if you bought it second hand, does it have the right map on for your bike? Also, though I doubt this if the bike was running fine), could you have the V and H sensor connectors crossed over?
Interesting. Its a brand new unit bought specifically for the R. When you say cycling the ignition, i assume you mean turn it off, turn it on ?
Yes, have a go... I didn’t think it’d sort it but it did. I rode about 5 mile first, got home then turned the ignition on / off a couple of times and the warning lights disappeared
Did you get the usb cable with it? It might be worth connecting it to a laptop, starting the bike and have a scan through the readings.

Top man. So far so good. Downloaded the software, updated it. Made a couple of changes to the settings, saved to the device and boom, engine lights off. See how we go on the next ride.
I will be interested in seeing your thoughts on how it has improved or otherwise the bikes performance .
