  1. He must be a 1%-er or been there for 20+ years :)

  2. I agree. But, Morbid finished behind him. He was a contender last year. Giving him one more race to decide.

  3. Looks like Yamaha screwed Rossi then,it's funny how the factory bikes are working with two wins in the first rounds now after many years making their riders look stupid.

  4. I am a Rossi fan, but not blind. Yamaha should have had more wins than VR has given them in the last few seasons. The bike does not work as often as it should BUT Quatroguy, he could have taken the championship last year. Morbi was good last year. Vinales was often in front of VR. Swap teams and the person still at the back...not how I wanted to see him finish his career. And even if the bike had been “right” I could not see him winning over a season.
Without a rocket up his backside, some big inspiration, it just aint going to happen.
Again, he mentioned tyres after the race. Ugghhh! All riders have round black tyres, they make them work. Just the same as I, much less skill, adjust my riding to make the best use of tyres or the weather/tyre combination when road riding.
What I do know is I read the road better these days, but, react slower and my eye focus is slower. The affect? I am slower.

While nobody can argue his past record, what he has brought to the sport..etc. No fans really want to watch him finish back of the pack. Far better as a team boss, talisman and guide for the youngsters coming through from moto 3 and 2.
He can certainly circulate just slightly off race pace, which is bloody fast. But its not winning pace.

  5. If he stays at the back for too long the Broom Wagon from the road race cycling world will be along any minute LOl, anyway that race has run it's course i'm already in Portugal and let's hope the team can do a much better job.

  6. I've just watched moto 3. Great race. Looks like aCosta is one to watch

  7. That was ridiculous. Can only ever remember Marquez doing that but im sure someone far more knowledgeable can correct me ..

Is it going to be Sam Lowes' year finally? :astonished: (certainly not going to be wee mc'flea's!!)

  8. don’t jinx it!!! But hopefully, he’s riding so nicely! And he LOVES Portimao so would love to see him leave there with another podium and more inconsistency from riders behind and he could have himself a race win margin going into the summer european covid dodging season!

*footnote, even though they have had both doses, I wonder if you can still test positive for it and therefore not be allowed to ride?

McPhee is done for this year, and I think that’s it for his chance to step up to Moto2 also, as I think it was linked to him proving he can put a season together. Now I don’t blame him, but his luck is terrible, to quote Harry hall, ‘there are 40 other vultures out there who manage to finish a race’....

he’s got a pit Lane start so assuming he gets up to mid placing and scores 5 points, he could be 60 or more points off the lead of the championship after 3 rounds...

  9. McPhee is looking more and more like a nearly man unfortunately. He’s 26 now and the moto3 age limit is 28 he should have been in moto2 this year but that didn’t work out. Unless he pulls a rabbit out of the hat this season getting another top ride will be extremely difficult next year with so many fast newcomers coming through.

  10. If I read it correctly McPhee has a pitlane start plus 10seconds , will be interesting to see how he goes.

  11. Didn’t he do it from back of the grid on M2? From pit lane, in his second race, as 16.....f’ing unbelievable! Loved the post race interview, very good English for a 16yr old! ‘Win or medical centre’

Lowes did what he needed to do. Great race and result.

Looking like three manf are competitive, 4 when MM comes back, and will be a very good year for the class again! 2nd ride on a MGP and 3rd?! Martin. Brilliant ride.

  12. Only watched ITV4 highlights and they cut away when McPhee looked like he was about to give the other rider a whack...

  13. Thats two top rides by Sam Lowes. Controlled the race very well and responded when pushed near the end of the race with more smooth speed. Class act.

  14. Hate to say it, if MM comes back as he left, it will get boring again.

  15. German GP in 2014 but he had to catch up and carve through a lot less riders ahead of him than Acosta did!

  16. I watched it live and it cut away when McPhee swung a boot at chummy boys knackers. Drat!!

  17. It’s boring now. Nutters like MM always brighten sporting events up... :D

  18. Racing wise it’s exciting because any one of 5 or 6 can win. Rather than bonkers bowling like M3 or MM with a win at all costs head on
