Anyone know if they can be reanodised a different colour? Powder coating kinda kicks the point of lighter wheels into touch
I bet you’d struggle to find someone willing to re anodise wheels. They’d have to be stripped then machine polished to get an even finish. And that would work out at at least £300... with no guarantee that they’d come out ok.
If your looking for greater weight reduction then carbon is your only option. Having said that I’ve heard very strong evidence surrounding the Oz Gas’s wheel manufacturing. Being stronger than the Marchesini and carrying its weight closer to the centreline mass. It’s a close guarded secret about the forging process (from a very reliable source) The Oz wheels are lighter front and rear but only by Grams! Can you tell the difference? Well I definitely could when I changed mine over! More of a transformation on the 899/959 models. Or all other baseline Panigales will feel a lot bigger benefits. Plus they just look way cooler
I’d imagine a big difference over my standard base wheels tho, as above 25% front and more rear in terms of variable You selling some? Gold?!
Oh yes.... definitely more noticeable by some margin! The bike is for sale at the moment, either standard or with various parts depending on choice. In about 2/3 weeks time if it’s still about and I’ve had no interest then yes it will be stripped and all the parts will be available in the relevant section. I’m done with MESSERS asking certain deals on the parts hence why I edited the post. One particular forum member even posted up on the wanted section, “Oz wheels wanted” only to find out he was a complete waste of space! got me to works out deals with most of the carbon, plus wheels .... Extra pictures and around 2 hours pissing around working out different deals! well let’s just say None of them parts will be available to that person....Period! Didn’t even have the decency to reply..... You know who you are!
Yep that pops love it or hate it the Gold certainly stands out. I really don’t dislike any of the OZ colour options. Just depends on your own taste Bit like back in the day if you ever owned a WRX STI..... Especially the Blue, You Just had to have the Gold wheels
Even to this day it just looks right..... Black wheels, black tyres Nah you can keep that! You loose all definition
Funny you say that, my wheels need a refurb and considering this....either full gold or with chrome rim...
