Saga Of The $3.5bn Unfinished Bike (and What Ducati Won’t Admit) | Ducati Monster ('93 - 2021)

  1. A genuine understanding of the bike and it's history told in a pretty engaging way. Get yourself a drink and enjoy...

    Definitely worth a watch :)

  2. They never finished designing a back brake that works. The girlfriends 2018 821 has never had a back brake that works. Been back to Ducati so many times and now needs bleeding weekly.

  3. It's a faulty brake line. Check into a recall.
Lot's have been posted about it here and many by your's truly.

There's something to be said about a girlfriend who can't stop while riding.

  7. Nothing there about a 2018 821 though.

  8. Lean on them!
Go through the whole Monster thread above and copy the PDF recalls I've posted.
There's enough there to build a solid case. It's a known problem and a safety issue.
    Then there's this (attached):

  9. I've got a 796 monster, had it 4 years and the back brake has always been superb.

My dad had a 821 and it never had a rear brake, I almost dropped it on a hill the first time I rode it. He had it bled a couple of times, then gave up with it.

  10. Bit too late, after 3 years of ownership she has given up on it and ordered a new BMW S1000XR.

  11. I love her already. If she can ride a XR1K, she's a keeper.
