AFAIK, yes , And smoothes out the traction control and allows you to slide in a more predictable manner . ( plus prob more ) I priced it up the other week and was £350 plus iirc
i did the EVO update on my 2016 1299s, drive out of corners is much less regulated from the TC, as before it felt like the bike was fighting itself, and getting out of shape, as i also have the DDA fitted, ill try to get some screen shots of the before and after update trace.
I refuse to pay for a software update that should be provided during a service. £350 sobs for a couple of lines of code, is just further proof of Ducati fleecing its customers.
i got my update as part of the purchase agreement, i.e. same spec as the 2017 model year, as i purchased late in 2016 edited to add- i would be happier if there was a continued / possible upgrade to current tc etc specs, as the development is so fast nowadays, and it would also hold the value of the 'older' machines if they were able to update/ upgrade
I think if a service included full software updates, I’d be more inclined to use main dealer for this age of bike
Yep I think it will be a dealer only option as they send your vin and details from the ecu to Ducati to get the software file.
