  2. @Riviera81 any good if it’s still available

  3. Looks good! But unsure whether it will fit a biposto? Can anyone confirm it will plug and play with a bi posto subframe?

  4. It won't.

  7. Many thanks! Feared that may be the case!

  8. Hi pal, it should fit with a bip subframe. I have a bip subframe fitted to my 749r as I got fed up with the alloy OEM one cracking and wrecking exhausts, lost count of the number of times I have welded frames and termis. I can take a few photos of how I did it if you want. It's not perfect but I have had no problems running a single seat fairing on it.

  9. Can you take a pic please Dave, want to convert my dark to a mono.

    cheers

  10. The bip subframe is too long and would need a bit of surgery for the mono seat cowl.

  11. I remember seeing a pic of one before, but can’t remember how much sticks out, I’m annoyed as I had a mono I sold to chiz a few years back and the nice aluminium one I had off you but ended up selling as it was too wide for the radical tail.

  12. No.
I thought it was a carbon one but it isn't so not Interested now.

  13. Many thanks! I've managed to source a mint, second hand seat cowl, so I'm al sorted now. Really appreciate your help.

  14. Glad you sorted it @Riviera81 Just been in the garage now and took some photos for @Nostromo though so will post them. The bip sub frame does have a loop that sticks out beyond the exhaust mount. If you are not bothered about it then you can just cut it off. You can run with it sticking out if you want. I just wanted a stronger subframe to support the exhaust so bought one second hand to use. The front part of the fairing just fits as normal, and the rear part fastens to it. There is no recess for the rubber grommet to hold the lug on the rear piece, as there is on a mono frame, but I solved the issue of it touching the rear subframe by using a couple of old bits of Samco hose. I blanked the ends off to stop water ingress and that's about it. I also cut off the hangers for the pillion foot pegs as I will never need them. Not that I intend to but if I ever sell the bike it will be fitted with an original alloy sub frame and the front part of my seat unit will go back to ABS plastic. 20210502-_MLS8499.jpg 20210502-_MLS8500.jpg 20210502-_MLS8501.jpg 20210502-_MLS8502.jpg 20210502-_MLS8503.jpg 20210502-_MLS8504.jpg

  16. Cheers, some food for thought, btw good to see the rc8 in the background :upyeah:

  17. Easy enough to do if you can get hold of a sacrificial frame for cheap. The 8 is now back to how it left the showroom, all original fairings, crash protection and tank back on. Just needs a set of Dunlop slicks and a bit of gravel rash on the RHS taken care of and it will be totally original. Albeit with just over 4k race miles on it ;) Even bought one of those Airflow car tents to keep it in along with the 749.
