Ordered my V2 this afternoon. Chopping in my 1198 se corse. I was impressed with the demo bike I rode in between the hail and sleet today and really wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did.
It’s skinny, bit like a 999. Smooth power delivery but the speed increases fast when you want it to. I think it’s a better bike for the road as I could rev it hard through the turns without feeling like I was running out of road or ability. The electronics are great with seamless gear changes compared to other bikes I’ve ridden. It’s not too much of a stretch to the bars either. The suspension is firm on bumpy A & B roads but that can be sorted and to be expected on what is a race bike with lights. It feels all over more refined than other Ducati’s I’ve owned. I didn’t think I’d like it and always thought I’d never stray away from the trellis frame. The styling is spot on and I think it still looks like a Ducati from every angle. I will be saving up for the full system and some carbon bling as well as getting the suspension sorted plus getting the throttle sorted as it had a lot of slop and I prefer a quicker action. Oh, and some rearsets.
