Mugello Trackday August 2021

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by GreenOn, May 2, 2021.

  1. Hello Folks,

Well, it's all booked again, our annual trip to Mugello with FE, another South West Massive road trip planned, three vans going down this year. I wasn't sure it was going to happen this year with all the CV19/20/21 going on, but now I am confident we will be there.

  2. August 12-16th ?

    Highlight of my year.

    See ya there.

  5. I’m going to sack 2021 euro gigs. Unless it’s nailed on.

I can’t be arsed with the uncertainty of it. It’s on. It’s off. It’s on. It’s off... refunds, flight cancellations... =ball ache imo...

Mugello does look amazing mind, so I can certainly see the drive. Good luck, I hope you all make it :):upyeah:

  6. Get your gearing set for top end speed, the straight (well sort of straight), goes on for a long time.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  7. NL always seem expensive and only 2.5 days, compared to FE and four days.

  8. I’d like to get out to mugello, but I’m with you on this mate.

    can’t be bothered.

  9. ive had portimao postponed already in May but these are bookings moved from last years bookings which were booked pre covid. Glad I get portimao got postponed and I could put the money on UK dates and in all honesty expect the same to happen to Mugello but you never know. Got out to Cartagena in October last year, only 11 people in the fast group and it was amazing (not for no limits of course)

happy to stick to UK days this year. Oulton 11th and the the Ducati Donny day on 20th to look forward to :):):)

  10. Quite a few on here last year were saying that last August's Mugello event would not go ahead because of travel restrictions, in fact we had a great four days at Mugello and two weeks on the Lakes in Northern Italy, in glorious weather, 35 degrees at the circuit, I am expecting the same this year, see you there. :sun::cool::motorcycleduc:

  11. Pissing with rain and freezing cold at Donny today and probably tomorrow.

Not sure what is worse, getting up at 3.30 am to get to a circuit and never get the bike out of the trailer or juggling euro cancellations and plane tickets?

At least the MotoGP was worth watching.

  12. I was at Donington last Thursday, freezing cold wind, occasional Sun, and Hail, then drizzle, not ideal but did manage to get some half decent sessions in, am back up there for a two dayer in May, hopefully it will have improved. Usually a 03:30 start for me if driving up that day, but to be honest I almost prefer that than rushing to get stuff done after a full days work then setting off to get there at 22:00.

We are driving down to Italy with the bike, so no planes to worry about, much preferred. :sun::motorcycleduc:

  13. I like a road trip. How long does it take to get there??

  14. Depends on how heavy your foot is;)

  15. Hmmm, that’s shitty luck.... a situation I know so well....

  16. 3 or 4lb’s I would imagine.

  18. Same here, got soooooooooooo pissed off with booking/cancellations/vouchers/refunds/visa....can't go/can go with jab/mask/test/fuck knows what!
    Sticking to pedal power.
Last trip to Almeria was bloody amaze balls with such low numbers, difficult to sustain though.
