  1. Was chatting to the guy with underseat termis on his 1199 and he reckoned, with baffles, passed out ok easy. Without 106 so not miles off.

  2. I did notice that he wasn't popping massive wheelies on the run down to agostini and just assumed it was because the photographer moved :joy:

Well if they're cracked then no better justification for the temis :D

  7. Is the HM shifter the oem replacement? Can you let me know how it is? I'm sick of the garbage stock one that tries to kill me on a regular basis on the V2. Already contacted HM and as long as the connector is 3 pin I can order one, but it'd be good to get some feedback from users.

  8. Yes it is. Plug and play. Absolutely fine.

I must be honest my OE quick shifter was one of the few that behaved itself. But due to all the negative feedback I changed it anyway. I didn’t want to risk the OE going tits up on day one on a European gig. I carry the OE as a spare. I did have bother with the gear position sensor failure.

  9. exactly as ‘Mary’ described :) direct replacement, plug and play.

My OEM shifter worked ok, struggled now and then but nothing major. I’ll let you know how they compare once I’ve been out. :upyeah:

  10. Had a little run out at Cadwell yesterday on the V4 with track panels and a titanium Spark.it force 3/4 system. the exhaust makes a beautiful pop on upshifts and unbaffled is suppose to be 102db…. The noise tester said it was 104db so might need to get a baffle sourced.

Had a couple of issues with clearance with the exhaust rubbing on the tyre and fortunately Dave ‘Mupo’ Croft was riding around on his V4R so managed to pick his brains about the bike set up.

@JamieW the HM shifter is noticeably smoother both up and down that the stock switch. I wasn’t expecting to feel / notice any difference but I can honestly say the HM part is super smooth and a noticeable improvement over stock in my opinion.

I’ve popped a session on YouTube for anyone wanting to know what it’s like trying to wrestle a V4 around Cadwell Park :)

  11. Not too shabby at all that! Love a bit of Cadwell, although I can't quite reach the times you do yet. Thanks for the update on the HM shifter although I was impatient and got a translogic one (arrived today) so hoping to see how if goes at Croft in a few weeks.

  12. I’m sure the translogic will be very similar to the HM. I think any aftermarket shifter will be smoother than the mechanical switch in the OEM shifter.

  13. Flying mate!!! :bomb::bomb::bomb::splat:

  14. I just took it up and down the road to try it and seems good so far. Less clunky for sure. Track will be the real test.

  15. Your bike looks great, how are you getting on with the mupo? There was a chap at sent last Thursday on them and he looked mega. Got my first TD on the new bike (base v4) thurs afternoon at donny fingers

  16. Sorry Craig missed this post. I rate the Mupo suspension really highly, I’d encourage anyone to try it. It transformed the handling of my 1299 and V4 and when it’s dialled in its like nothing I’ve experienced before. Dave Croft is always on hand to help with advice and as UK importer of Mupo he knows the tech and set ups inside out. Currently supporting a load of riders in BSB using Mupo as well.

  17. So, my beautiful V4 has now gone to a new hone (fellow forum member) and I’m going back to a Panigale 1199.

The V4 is without doubt the best bike I’ve had the pleasure of owning. The power, noise, electronics, looks are all incredible. But a few life choices have meant I needed to free up some money so had to sell her.

I’m sure I’ll be back on a V4 in a few years, but for now I’ll leave you all with a photo from what turned out to be my last session on the V4 before she was put back to stock to sell :) (I know how much you all love me posing for the camera man)
