Has anyone done this on the V2? Just done it and it's way off so I'll need to send it back. Fortunately I ordered over the phone and they checked for me (for this reason). Not sure if the renthal site is wrong or not so if anyone's done this before let me know. Might have to try AEM or something instead, but quite like renthal.
Was a 183 for 1299/Pani R. Dunno if all of the V2 hub part numbers are the same as the older models though.
Just doing some digging, AFAM list a completely different carrier part number to other Ducati bikes which suggests it is unique in some way. There wasn't a difference in the fitting on the hub as everything lines up including the pin holes for retaining clip so it must be the carrier design itself.
This is what renthal says on their site which I'm guessing is what the place I got it from probably checked, but can't be right.
Might pay to have a mooch on a ducati parts site and compare the oem numbers for 1098/1299/v2 assemblies and see how it looks. A few people have missed the spacer washers out on these in the past on here, but the change in offset in your pics looks far too large for that.
Cheers. I'll do some more digging. Also be calling the company I bought it from Monday so they might do some too. The spacer was the first thing I checked when I changed it back as I thought the same thing. I hadn't measured at that point, but as you say, it's not a quarter of an inch worth
My V4 is part number D183. I’m sure yours should be a D182...Mine was slightly over once assembled, But my front Renthal sprocket was slightly offset to allow for the difference. I used a laser tool to check alignment after and it was pretty well Bob on.... Hope that helps
I ve got spares 1 x Renthal 182 1 x JT (fits Renthal sprockets) 182 Ill swap you for the 183 if you want?
If it helps the outside flanges are slightly different too and not just in colour, between the 1198 and the V4...
The rear sprocket touches the swingarm even as fully adjusted out as possible so I can't see how it can be right (43tooth same as oem). On a side note, I'm in awe of how immaculate that bike looks
YOU! you are the only one with the wrong carrier...... I think you have one that fits my V4, I have two that will fit your V2 a Renthal and a JT both the same take Renthal sprockets.
Put your wrong carrier with a sprocket on it layed down on a flat surface and measure the flat top outside edge of the sprocket. Ill do the same with the Renthal one I have with a sprocket on it we can compare numbers to find the 1/4 inch you require...
