  2. That must have been a nice ride. Thanks for posting, interesting to see.

Good idea using that lock on the rear wheel too.

  5. I'll ride the bike down to Santa Barbara for the new owner ... then start to plan a week long ride back up through the Pacific North West using the inland routes ... or perhaps ride all the Northern California Sierra passes, now that the snow has been cleared off.

    and then there's always CA-36 ... 140 miles and a little over 1,800 corners.

  7. Sounds fabulous John, will look forward to your ride report on that.

I'm guessing you rode your bike to his before flying up to collect his new one...? Otherwise there's a flaw in your plan.

  11. I did the reverse route plus a few more miles 6 years ago on my Multi 1200s ... as I rode from the San Francisco Bay Area up 101 to my hometown of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. a little over 1,000 miles, in just under 17 hours (16:55 moving time, 19:27 total trip time).

  14. Nothing like a good long road trip. The anticipation before, the pleasure during and the satisfaction afterwards. Looks great.
