If you’re all that worried about MPG, get a diesel van and stick the bike in the back. Then wheel it out when you get to your destination.

 

You'd get considerably more from a CB125, why not get one of those?

Gone up 10p a litre since Xmas round here.

 

Configured a V4S Mutley at nearly 22.5k with luggage, Akra, la la. Just done the same on new KTM 1290 SA. Came out at 18.2k more or less like for like spec.
That's a big financial wedge of difference.

 

Don't forget that KTM will be discounting the new 1290 within weeks, so that'll drop to about £15k!

 

You can pick up year old KTM SA's with less than 2k miles for less than £12k. New ones make no financial sense.

I sold my 1 year old 1290SA for about £9.5K. That was good going, as dealers and webuyanybike offered about £8.5K. Never again.

 

I rode v4 and ms1260s back to back preferred front end of 1260 sharper more confidence inspiring

Ktm is ugly looks cheaper and less premium feel

 

Yyyyyyyyeah....but the Ugly argument no longer applies now that V4 Multi looks like back end of bus.
I do hate the KTM colours though. Fuckin orange and silver. There’s ONE barely tolerable mostly black with orange flashes. BARELY! Oh yeah..and never buy new KTM. Bless ‘em and all, but depreciation is worse than a rusty Lancia.
