1260 Givi Tn7406b Crash Bars Question ...

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by john clelland, May 18, 2021.

  1. who is running the on their 1260s?

the installation instructions show removing the front fender extension ... but does not indicate if it can be reinstalled after installing the crash bars.

does the crash bar lower crosspiece interfere with the front fender extension?

  2. Sounds familiar though I don't have these fitted, have the Evotech bobbins which I've tested only in a static drop and they worked very well with zero damage (panniers not fitted). I think it's a design flaw by Givi, see this thread on the subject.

  3. I know they are alleged to do so - that's why I went with SW-Motech bars instead.

  4. I fitted these on my 1200 and yes the extension interferes with the bars to the point it rubs under heavy braking or even latches over the top , piss poor design from Givi
I ended up removing the centre section and remodelling it to provide the required clearances ( I hit with a hammer)
works a treat now even with an extender extender IYSWIM ?
