Hi all I’m changing jobs soon and want a good commuter, I’ve settled on the 696 as I want the fleet to be Ducati only. If anyone has one or knows of one going please let me know. Cheers
I do know what you mean about wanting all Ducati, but I'd paint a Street Triple red, and stick a Ducati badge on it. I actually had a 696 (and a 620 before that, and a 1100S after), and they were all fab, but I'd take my current Street Triple 675 over the 696 any day. The 696 feels like a really easy to ride, characterful, but not particularly exciting bike. The Street Triple is also very easy to ride, but can turn it up a notch in the way the 696 can not.
Very informative cheers, it’s going to be a 90 mile motorway commute 4 days a week. I also have a couple of 749’s for the weekend, so not too fussed about the weekend blast factor. I like the way the 696 looks and sounds, if I could stretch to a hyper I would but I’m on a strict budget so I can continue with my project bike. cheers
I'll check, it's a low mileage as she's hardly ridden it, bought from riders Cardiff getting on for 3 years ago now, doubt it's done 500 miles in those 3 years. Belts changed last year ( bought from the chap who sells them on here). Stourbridge isn't far , we have aquaintances in Worcester, so I could trailer it up, or meet somewhere, we're at Carmarthen, I'll let you know if she's interested in selling it, any questions fire away
2013, had it nearly 4 years, time flies . current mileage about 4300, looking for the MOT sheet., 3,850 when she bought it.
Picked one up today, with some nice extras fitted. Oz wheels, termis, lots of carbon and rizoma bits.
