Okay so I’m new to Ducati and recently bought a 1299. Anyway I noticed that the bike was doing a lot of hard laboured starts and after putting the battery on a conditioner there wasn’t much improvement. Purchased a battery disconnected and swapped the battery out, started the bike and the mileage odometer is just showing zero. Any ideas? Can I take the bike to a mileage correction place and show them proof of mileage when I purchased the bike? Any help appreciated
The mileage is stored both on the dash and the bbs. So any dealer or Indy with a Texa should be able to re sync the mileage.
Excellent mate and will that reset the service indication? What is BBS? Just had it serviced there and I noticed that it would count down the service until the next one. Can an Indy or mileage correction guy do that also
I’m sure an Indy can mate. As long as he has a Texa. Service indicator shouldn’t be lost either. Are you getting any engine management lights on the dash? If so, it might be something more serious, I hope not.
The BBS is under the seat and is part of the can network. It sends receives info about traction control and abs, not sure what else it does.
Hi there mate. That’s perfect mate I’ll make a few enquiries and see if I can get it sorted. So far it is not showing any other dash warning lights just the mileage gone abs the service indicator countdown. I’ve got the receipt of mileage from when I bought it 2 months ago and the mileage noted for the insurance quote etc so
