Feels Good To Be Organised!

  1. I've booked train tickets, or cancelled my future appointments, and I've chosen what bike that I'm gonna get - and stuck with it over a few days. Looked at some reviews and the only main criticism seems to be of the mirrors vibrating.

But, vibrating mirrors is not a show-stopper and I can try a few things when I have a bike to fix this. Part of the charm of Ducatis, is sorting out the niggly problems, whilst the main things, like handling and engine never need playing with! I am pretty sure that it will be a Ducati Supersport S. Although I have no idea when I will get my license back, they will be around for years.

Nice to relax knowing my own mind.

  2. I think now you have some things sorted, and are feeling a bit better about 'life', it will all be a bit self perpetuating, and more stuff will fall into place as you stress less about them.

    Well done.

    Nasher.

  5. A walk to the Co-op and a long think. It's gonna have to be a Honda Fireblade....

    NO,NO, No!!!!

And no rubber band Chinese BMW!!!!!!!!!!!!

At some point, I'll visit Riders and ask to sit on one but there is no hurry. That can wait and give me encouragement to finish what I was doing with the valve adjustment on my ST2, over two years ago. I could waste their time by phoning up but that will not happen, definitely. I know now that my efforts must be focused on getting the ST2 and ST3 roadworthy.

And now, with nice weather, there is no excuse!

Next week, I get to smash up a learner car in the Forest of Dean. I mean behave responsibly!!! But it is a Hyundai and they deserve no favour!

  6. The standard exhaust no longer offends me and if a buy new, or a used one with a standard exhaust, I not going to bother change it. I've got some ideas about solving the mirror vibration issue as well....

  7. It was Riders of Bridgwater!!!

  8. This was my 100 mph target straight before the 40mph signs. When I get back to riding, that will be the case, no longer! It will be Police City!

  9. Today, I have gone round in a full circle (metaphorically) but after dabbling with the idea that the Aprilia RS660 swinging arm is not so bad, I have returned to the original plan of a used Ducati Supersport S. From new, the Supersport seems to lose quite a bit, with people thinking that 7000 miles is too much and it needs to be disposed of, making the designers weep! Doesn't bother me, though.

A used Supersport s makes the most sense for me.

  10. Newport Towers!

  11. You recognise it! Hotel has gone now as it is becoming a housing estate

  12. About time. Is the pub still opposite? Home of the Dragon Pie.

  13. Think so. I am not mobile ATM and no longer go swimming in Thornbury and so don't often go past it.
