My bike came with Evotech shorty levers, I like the brake but find the clutch very uncomfortable to use. I like to use 4 fingers on the clutch pull. Anyone mix lever lengths??
It’s not like I use the clutch much these days but just sitting at junctions etc it’s uncomfortable. I really like the shorty brake though
IMHO shorty levers are pointless. I've tried them and hated them from the get go. I could never find a cumfortable position or have any confidence in them.
I only ever brake with two fingers, so I always ran short brake lever and long clutch levers on sportsbikes. Never had any issue with stopping the bikes or lifting the rear wheel
So I have kinda small hands and tried the Evotech shorties also. Didn't care for them for the same reason you state...mostly the ball on the clutch lever was awkwardly on my 3rd finger and it just felt wrong. I also felt like I had to mind my hand positioning on the brake side to make sure the lever was in fact within good reach...levers are so short you could find yourself only half grabbing a lever if your hand happened to float out more towards the bar end on the throttle for whatever reason. So I got these folding "long" levers from CNC Racing and they're perfect for me. They're about an inch shorter than the stockers and a profile that my hands love. Ball on the end is much more subtle too. Come in 3 colors too if that's your thing. https://www.cncracing.com/en/ducati...ke-lever--long-folding-model-180-mm-1018.html
I don’t find the Evotec ones comfortable at all. My Ducati performance ones on my Panigale were much better. Anyone know if 1199 levers fit a Streetfighter V4??
I love the Evotech short levers on my Street Triple, so recently put them on my 959, and I agree, they don't work well. The clutch is too heavy, and the positioning means you have your hand on the ball, as someone said. I've considered mixing them too.
I've changed mine on the Multistrada, using two fingers on the clutch and three on the brake, much happier especially on the clutch, seems to bite in the right place.
