  3. I can highly recommend the Hyperpro RSC as an alternative to the Ohlins, https://www.webshop-hyperpro.com/en/products for new but often see them on eBay. Very nice and properly functional and their customer care is first class. Andy

  4. Hyperpro are great (I have one on my Daytona and had one on my 996). But this is a 748r and it needs an Ohlins. Second hand budget between 275-350 including mounting bracket.

  5. An Ohlins steering damper was never standard equipment in the UK. Available to order at the time of purchase and often fitted by dealers to sweeten the deal in 2002 to shift the last few bikes off stock. Andy

  6. Absolutely correct Andy. But on a full Ohlins 02 bike any other damper just looks wrong :)

  8. if it's to go on a period correct 748r then yeah you absolutely NEED Ohlins one, but do yourself a favour and get it rebuilt before you do, they are well past their best nowadays and no-one likes to reduce their Ohlins to Showlins.....

I agree, clean ones are north of £250

  9. Someone else told me that too mate
