Hi, I loaded a new map to my 2017 939 yesterday evening using UpMap. I have the Termignoni slip on and baffle removed. Loading the map was a breeze and I took the bike out for a short spin. The bike feels way better at low revs, not so choppy round town even in sport and pulls strongly and cleanly through the gears. I am definitely feeling an improvement in power and response. But I did a short dual carriageway stint and while holding a steady speed for a mile or so I am sure I felt a small hesitancy a couple of times, like a light misfire. I need to do a longer run to check. But has anyone else got the same set up and experiencing any issues, I did read on previous posts about removing the Lambda sensors although there were no instructions to do so via UpMap.
I have the Termi D181 which does away with the cat. I'm running it with the baffle removed and the Termi UpMap for that configuration installed. I still have the Lambdas connected but will disconnect them next time I have the fairings off. There is a considerable improvement in midrange response from about 4,000 rpm upwards. At cold starts it runs a bit lumpy at 2,000 - 3,000 rpm until the engine has warmed up. Otherwise I am very pleased with it.
I have the same set up and it does have a marked improvement. I read previously that if you disconnect the Lambda sensors then others flashed the map again.
I've just bought a 2018 Supersport S with the Akrapovic tail exhaust system. Does this exhaust need an upmap? Is it possible to check if an upmap has been done?
If it was a dealer supplied system then it's my understanding that the ECU should have been unmapped. If so the dash should briefly show "RACE" or "EVO" at ignition on.
I have a Termi slip on and bought the up map to go with it. I flashed it myself and the screen now show EVO when powering on.
