  1. Well I dont know whether to be flattered or offended.....went to Tesco tonight to do my weekly shop and put a crate of bulmers in the basket........At the checkout the young girl asked for authorisation from the manageress she could sell me the cider.....the manageress then asked me for ID????? Seriously??? I know its prove your 25 but I'm 33 and TBH wished I did look 25!!! Just felt slightly offended really but yeah in a way flattered too........and I dont even have botox!!!

  2. I always ask if they want my ID but the checkout girls just laugh. Thats what comes of being 50:rolleyes:

  3. Flattered if it happened to me, but then I am coming up to 45

  4. Was the check-out girl hot if she was she just wanted your address :)

  5. Then again if she was not the she f-ing wanted your address :(

  6. A crate?? Like a pallet's worth? You THIRSTY! :upyeah:

  7. Just stocking up for Donington.....and that was just Emma's.

  8. was offended when I was 25 but flattered now i'm 56

  9. Please don't be offended Em I would probably ID you too
Think 25 has made it easier to ask for ID
The consequences for underage sales can be awful for the cashier
Upto £1000 fine and they can get a criminal record which can prevent them being able to travel
It can take 12 months to get to court so you can imagine we cashiers take it seriously as it's our responsibility

I have ID 38 year olds who think it's quite nice to be asked.
In 13 years I have had 2 unhappy customers
